Golf Channel’s website had been migrated from Sitecore to Drupal by an outside consultancy, which ported the old theme by layering new classes over the existing stylesheet rather than rebuilding it — resulting in duplicated, bloated CSS with no real mobile support. As the sole front-end engineer, I rebuilt every page template from scratch over five months using mobile-first responsive styles, testing continuously on live devices rather than emulators alone. The rebuild cut the CSS file size by two-thirds and eliminated the tangled “onion” of overlapping styles, and the improved mobile experience let Golf Channel retire its separate mobile-only subdomain entirely — consolidating maintenance to a single responsive site.

I built the front-end for a React web application (with a .NET backend) used internally by financial advisors to manage client accounts. When the team added trading functionality, it came with a regulatory requirement under the SEC’s Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) rule to log every stage of a trade’s lifecycle — origination, routing, modification, and execution. As the solo front-end engineer, I built the interface for advisors to execute trades individually or in batches, along with a monitoring dashboard to track execution status and audit-trail logging in real time. The feature shipped on schedule and was well received by the advisors using it day to day.

2023Checkout Modernization
Checkout previously lived across several separate applications, each serving its own use case with fragmented designs and inconsistent tech stacks. I worked as a front-end engineer on the team that consolidated these experiences into a single unified app built on Next.js. Within two months, the new architecture was live in production taking pilot traffic, with measurable gains across the board: latency dropped 75% and conversion rates rose 3.5%. Over the following months we migrated the remaining products onto the new stack, and the platform’s design enabled a release cadence shift from bi-weekly to daily or better. Three years in, the app has grown to 180 unique contributors and over 15,000 merged pull requests — a scale that reflects how much the unified architecture improved developer velocity across the org.
